Choose the bladed to suit the application. These blades are designed so that heat is concentrated along the cutting edge for optimum cutting temperature. Before inserting in the material to be cut, the temperature of the blade will be between 200°F and 1400°F, depending on the type of blade and the thermocutter used. The temperature of the blade cools down as it enters the material. The temperature is affected by the thermal properties and heat conductivity of the material being cut and determines the cutting speed.
